Overview
The Senior School at Selangor School, which encompasses Year 7 through Year 12, provides an exceptional program of academic, vocational, sporting, cultural, and social experiences designed to meet students’ unique needs and interests, preparing them for life after VCE.
Year 7 & 8
The transition from Primary to Secondary school is an exciting phase in a student’s lifelong educational journey, filled with new experiences and challenges. However, after the familiar environment of primary school, the move to senior school can feel overwhelming due to the many changes and new situations.
Selangor International School has established several initiatives to ensure this transition is a positive and smooth experience for our students and their parents. These efforts are supported by our robust Student Wellbeing program, reflecting our commitment to ensuring students feel safe, supported, and valued during this pivotal time.
Year 10
The Year 10 program is designed to prepare students for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and the heightened academic expectations that come with it. Along with the required subjects from the Australian Curriculum, students have the opportunity to select from a variety of school-based electives. To ease into the demands of the VCE, they are introduced to one subject at Unit 1 & 2 level from a chosen range of subjects, giving them an early experience of the VCE’s rigor.
